Many thanks Archer for your advice, in regard to purchasing the correct stem for the 565 movement on my 166.024SP, and others for pointing out to me the differences in the service replacement and original crowns which prompted the change.

I have a question Archer, from the information you supplied in Dec 2016 it would appear the the crystal on my watch has a 6mm height.

Is this a thicker crystal by 0.5 mm fitted to the 166.024SP (6mm) as opposed to the 166.024 (5.5mm) ?

    kind regards

Al or anyone who can chime in:

Can you tell me the proper part number for the following 2 references?:

    1. Omega yellow gold capped ref 2577 crown/tube (the current tube is 2.5mm, 0.9mm stem with 354 mvmt)

    2. Omega solid 14k yellow gold ref 2852/53 crown/tube/stem

    Thanks in advance
