A beautiful 4th in Chicago...I somehow got an urge to bring one of my portable phonographs outside for a little concert, next to a landmark Art Deco apartment building called the Powhatan (built in 1928).

    Here is a little excerpt:

I hear Chicago was invaded by tie-dyed-wearing DeadHeads at Soldier Field this week-end. A different kind of concert I imagine!

Yes, that's true, and for the next two nights as well. ::facepalm1::

And also by Marlins fans...both of them!

I'm going to a simulcast party at a local theater tomorrow, courtesy of Sirius/XM.

I expect the concert to last all night.

Love it  Thought I heard some sweet tunes coming from Hyde Park today! You should hear the fireworks right now in Humboldt a bit west of me, it sounds like a war zone

Just heard Bobby and Donna sing in my head before a saxophone sprinkled a few notes:
    "The music never stopped..."
They truly are a band beyond description.

Yes adam78, sorry to inform you that I, too, am a DeadHead. Although to be honest I would have enjoyed a Victrola picnic too! Love it!

Looks like you and Nipper were having a great time!

The sound is so clean and scratch free. How does that happen?
