    A NEW SubC 2019?

This has been talked about when it comes to predictions for 2019.

Now it's been said also that the low supply of subs could be due to a new model about to be released.
What would this do to the value of the 116610?

It angers people when I ask about future value but I'm about to buy a Near New SubC from a seller at MSRP and just thought I'd think about the possible future.

Not heard this, but why would they change it and what would they change on it anyway?

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Rolex moves pretty slowly and it hasn’t even been a decade since the SubC was introduced.

Definitely the movement. I mean some of the Tudor Black Bays are more impressive.

Have not heard anything about a new Sub coming, but as my AD says "You never know with Rolex" even though they move pretty slowly. In my eyes, the Submariner is already perfected, but if it would be anything, it would be the movement.

    Totally unnecessary

climbing a gym wall is no better display of displaying manly qualities, if you ask me

The caliber 3235 is (if Rolex is to be believed) considerably improved over the 3135 currently in use in the Submariner Date. Rolex seems finally to have responded to Omega's innovation with co-axial technology by introducing a new escapement design of their own, as well as improving the power reserve, shock absorption, and date-setting. The 3135 has been in use in various configurations for over two decades, and the 3235 is now available in the Datejust. So a movement upgrade isn't out of the question, though it may be more than a year away.

I suspect the new movement that went into the Gmt BLRO this year will be rolled out across the rest of the GMT line.

I’d expect the sub to follow maybe the year after. That said, none of us really know.

3135 is brilliant. I'm getting -0.3s/day, better then my 9300 Co-Axial. Sure it can be improved but the current modern SubCs are so good technically that upgrading is becoming harder to justify just from a technical perspective

Reminds me of cell phones sometimes - flagships are getting so good that you can finally go years without ever craving an upgrade because there is nothing lacking

Forum rumors are a new movement. It would look just like all Subs if they do it.

The movement will definitely be upgraded. The question is WHEN and only Rolex knows that.

I mean if they make a change it will be so small. People keep saying it needs a new movement. Please tell me what is wrong with the current one? Mine is 0.2 sec a day. Yes a longer power reserve could be nice since I only wear it so often but takes 30 seconds to set the time. We will see though if anything new comes out.

The issue is my Tudor BB has 70hrs power reserve.
For all those who don't care about PR fine but I do.

New movement = Profit $$$ so there is just bound to be new Rolexes. That said, 3135 is amazing.
