A monocle C-Case Constellation

An abused watch obviously apparent from that polishing, yet I love the idea of a monocle-like half magnifier - now I want one too 😀

Some time ago I saw one with a black date wheel instead of a white one, I guess it's easier to re-create that unique creation, while this one is pretty challenging

Someone sure did get happy with the polishing wheel on that poor watch.

Though a few watches have crept into the collection having them I'm not much of a fan of date or day/date features. Sure don't want them magnified.

Just goes to show that different strokes for different folks applies to watch likes.

I'm pretty sure this is just a crystal from the non-day/date watch. I'm blanking on the ref for the date only version, but if you get that, you can try to track down the proper crystal. That being said, most of the crystals that come up for these don't have the magnifiers, but if you dig enough you might find somebody that still has one in stock.

Actually magnified NOS crystals come up very often on eBay - both date and day/date - while regular crystals don't come up

But I don't like it that much to seek a crystal change

I also don't like magnifiers, it's probably the reason I've never been interested in vintage Rolex'es - but this half magnifier is cute I think 😀
