That was a very nice watch and very nice of you to part with in such a manner. It would have been perfect for me as it has a helium escapement which I do not yet have and certainly don’t need. However I am humble in defeat and congrats to the new owner
Intestinal gas is (predominately) a mix of hydrogen and methane- neither of which are very useful for pressure dives, but BOTH of which are lighter-than-air. If there is some use of a helium escape valve for ballooning, perhaps it would work for the other kind of gas, too.
Indeed. I wonder if @sxl2004 trained his cat to pick wadded paper out of bowls, or if that is something he did naturally.
