Hello, looking to possibly pick this up. I’ve been trying to steer away from vintage but am always drawn back. After my recent GS mess up I’m a little paranoid anyone notice anything out of sorts

Nothing jumps out from the pictures, case looks pretty sharp and has normal 50 year wear and tear. Crown original.
If the medallion is intact then and it’s running well go for it.
Parts are getting harder to find, I have a 5626 at service now after it stopped winding and I’m hoping it’s not going to be a pain if anything needs replacing.

I like it with date in Japanese characters. That blue strap certainly doesn’t do anything for me. But those are easily replaced.
I like it over all.

I love these, and this looks like a a pretty nice example. If the date quick set is working and the price is right - go for it!

I know you showed us a 7041 but here is a 7040

I think there was a change in case back styles year dependant so what are the first 2 digits of the serial no?
Could it be missing?

For some reason I’m having trouble posting the pic it looks like the first two numbers on the serial are 38 now I gotta see if that adds up

I think everything lines up I thought since it’s a 7041 it shouldn’t have 7040 on the dial but that does not seem to be the case I’m just getting paranoid I guess

It looks good to me! If the price is right, go for it! It is correct that this reference has “7040” on the dial.

Below is my KS 5626-7041. These are super watches and if properly serviced, great timekeepers too 👍.

Price seems about right to me. These pieces are a good value for what they are, IMO.

I think that is a great price! Candidly, less than I paid for mine two years ago...and I have no regrets!

There is major value in this under the radar example, but I would factor in the cost of servicing to ensure top performance.

Yeah I definitely plan on getting it serviced one problem I have is using Chrono to try to judge price a 500 dollar watch can be 2,500 on chrono not saying there aren’t good offerings on Chrono it just makes things confusing

As above, $400 is a good price as it’s a nice example.
It’s been around nearly 50 years with a life.
I’m no expert and the case back could well be legit, as per latest example shown.
I don’t think you’ll loose yourself at $400
Good luck with your decision.
