I have just inherited a Constalation and would like to know a little more about it.i have spent hours on the net trying to find answers but can't get a definite clear answer.the watch was bought in 1965 I have the original receipt.the movement number is 24442319,calibre 561,ref 168.005,I'm sorry the photos are not great.i would very much like to know the year it was made and where? The case indicates Switzerland but I read that cases were not imported to the UK at this time.is there any value? Many thanks image.jpg image.jpg

Avatar and a bit of research yourself I am sure some of the experts will be along soon. You can go to Omega site and put the numbers in the case back in for more info, can't work them out on mini ipad

    Or google them

    omega 168.005 ??.

It's a Constellation model 168.005 powered by a chronometer movement caliber 561 with date which was produced in Switzerland in 1966 or 1967.
The dial is dome style with 14k yellow gold hardware and onyx inserts. Hands are dauphine type and evething looks correct except the crown which is also from Omega but serves as a service replacement only.
One more problem is the rust around the gasket Looks like it has eaten thru many spots and you should pay attention to that if you want the watch to be waterproof.
Make sure you have it serviced well lubricated before daily use.
    Regards

not sure why you say the watch was made in 1962, the movement number you show in the pictures puts it in 1966 or so... as far as the value do a search on ebay and see how much similar ones are being sold for.
