Hi! Some "expert opinion" about this dial?
IMHO the watch is ok, but I never see before those "little balls" on the edge of the arrows, on the dial. Luminous index?
thanks for helps in the education of this young enthusiast omega fan!馃摉

The balls were added after by a watchmaker. Something that could be removed if you didn't want them. ( due to being on the markers and not the dial )

Looks like a issue with the 7oclock marker. More pictures needed for a better assessment

3,6,9 and 12 ,Colour of lume and clumsy positioning compared to factory done on others make me think after market.

Looked again at 7 marker and looks like light and angle so OK

Originally had at 3 6 9 12 but on mine somebody rubbed off those and painted markers and hands black. See a previous post on mine for a pix

A few square on pix and up close pix will or will not confirm uniformity of plots.

OP's watch originally had lume of some kind, majority of these have solid hands with no lume. Mine is the same with solid white gold hour and minute hands. Probably got relumed at some point I would think.

As a minimum, the markers have been relumed. IMO, if it had lume to begin with, the placement of the dots on 3, 6, 9 and 12 would be in the "valley" of the markers, not on top of the raised parts.

How about the hands? I guess they are lume-filled, but the are a different design than on Tex'...

Thanks to all. Here some more pics.
Dial is great : but what about the dots? It increases the value or is an "error to erase" ?

Ok so the plot thickens... I've never seen a medallion like that, but it looks too nice to be a homemade thing.. I can't wait to see what people say, it looks almost like a deluxe medallion in steel instead of gold. That bracelet isn't right, the clasp is from a 60's bracelet and the endlonks aren't numbered.. The movement looks horrible, but these are getting valuable enough it might be worth it so sort all this out though, but only if you can get it cheap enough. You will probably need a new medallion, scrub that gross lume possibly reluming it correctly, and the movement needs at the least a serious cleaning. Possibly new hands pending what is found with the lume.

I'm wondering if that's a later medallion? Possibly explaining the clasp?

I'm not liking the movement much either with this picture.

@nicolsson, could you post a picture of the inside of the caseback? And if possible, a picture of the movement with serial number (looks to be 16xxx..) and movement caliber visible?

This is probably a stupid question, but the case IS steel and not white gold?

That's all I have
Is it possible to explain the question about medallion? What's wrong on a steel one?

In summary:
Movement in bad cond or to (strong) clean
Hands : wrong (haw should be the correct hands?)
Bracelet: wrong
Medallion: wrong? Because made of steel? (Please clear this point if possible)

And finally : the fat dots: wrong or correct? Or semi-wrong 馃槈...I find also the double dots on 12 3 6 9 a little "funny", not beautiful of course. I'm a beginner with this matter, but I saw many Conni in last year and I've never come across a similar dotted-dial. If aftermarket is a well done job.

Movement in bad cond or to (strong) clean
Hands : Could be original, but they are different from the only other example I have seen with lume dots. If the lume dots weren't there originally, they are definitely wrong (should be faceted and without lume inlay).
Bracelet: No idea about this...
Medallion: It looks different from all other medallions I've seen on fifties Constellation. If I were to make a guess, it could have been cut from a (much) later Constellation caseback (possibly a ladies version?) and placed in the recess where the original was... This is purely speculation!
Lume dots: as a minimum they have been redone, but it is likely that it was never there in the first place...

I agree with you this seems plausible. Buy a scrap ladies watch and butcher the caseback. It's not right but the owner probably thought it looked better than a hollow recess.
