Hello everyone. I’ve just started looking into vintage Omega‘s. I love them. I’m thinking about buying this for my fiancé as a wedding present. What do you think?
Real va redial etc.
Any help would be appreciated. At $850 I want to make sure I’m not wasting my money.

Redial to capitalize on the current "Tiffany blue" trend. Omega did not make a dial in this color in the era when the case and movement were produced.

If you want a dial this color, stick to modern production watches.

Definitely stay away from this, then.

I thought so. Also the lack of seamaster symbol on the back is a red flag as well no?

Thanks for the advice. I love your reference to Andy’s band. I believe that was their name before MouseRat! Lol

at a certain price this would make a perfectly fun watch for your wife to wear, if you (or she) don’t care primarily about originality, etc. But the price you’re describing doesn’t sound like fit.

also, keep in mind whether this watch has been recently serviced (with evidence of a full service), which could entail several hundred dollars itself

welcome and happy hunting!
