I got my 145.022-69ST today and I just wanted to say how much I appreciated everyone's help and advice on the purchase. It was a really big deal for me to buy this watch and you guys really helped me feel comfortable. I learned a lot and hopefully, I can give back.

My question is regarding lume. I blasted the dial with light and then turned off the lights. The hour markers look great but the hands don't glow AT ALL. I thought that was weird but I tried it on my ww-gg-113 which also has tritium markers and hands. Same thing. What gives?

Obligatory, holy shit this looks great on my wrist

Congrats mate, if you have a black light the hands and dial will likely glow under that.

congrats, nice looking piece. There was some recent discussion here about the inconsistency of tritium lume, depending on how it was applied, mixed, how much actual tritium ended up on each hand or dial plot, etc. On my '69 which is all original, there isn't much glow at all at this point. I wouldn't worry about it.

Congrats, lovely watch, just what I'm after next!

I wouldn't worry too much about the lume inconsistency, here's my ex 69ST with supposedly original hands & definitely orig dial lume (sourced from a reliable seller. Yes, the bezel is incorrect, I know, I know :whistling:). Same very faded hands lume:
