    Hi everyone,
I've been looking for a Speedmaster I can wear every day for a while. Most of what I end up with is just too nice, too newly made or too original to do that with lol.

So I hatched a plan for a 2915 which would just look better and better the more I wear it. The result is below. I need some leaf subdial hands and short pushers caps which are on their way but otherwise I think it's turned out well.

The dial is one of my own and the hands have been rattling around the parts drawer so look suitably beat up. Silver tension ring crystal, steel bezel machined to be a smaller diameter than the later broadarrow 57 replica. Plus a straight lug case and old JB Champion bracelet. :) I'm very happy with it and the best bit is I was able to put it together from bits I already had!

Brilliant job. Even if you could find a complete and original one - which seems almost impossible given the doubts expressed in this Forum about the Christies' $80k watches by the real experts - you'd have to walk around with a safe on your wrist. I have an incomplete -2 (later service dial, no bezel, etc.). If my wife ever found out how much I paid for it, I wouldn't be allowed to leave home wearing it. But I know it is as close as I am ever likely to get to owning and enjoying the real thing and can't wait to get it back from STS who are attaching a modern but distressed SS bezel. Enjoy your 2915.

Cool. Could you tell us more about how you built it?

Really like it. Nice project to complete out of parts you already had.

Love it and what a great project, I was lucky enough to pick up a factory verified 2915-1 earlier in the year but sadly it has service bezel and hands, that said still an awesome watch

Thanks :) You're very lucky to have one in any condition! The values on them are deserved but frightening which is why a remake is the only sensible way for me. I look forward to seeing pics of yours when it comes back from STS.

Um, well most watches fit together like a meccano set, its just a matter of knowing which bits go where. The only part with this that required more than parts swapping was the bezel which I put on a small lathe and machined down to look more authentic. Oh and the dial and hands which I aged, there's a few threads on that here :)

Thanks :) and may I say I wouldn't be too upset with any real CK2915 service hands and bezel or not ;) You're very lucky and I'm already going through your posts looking for pics lol

Really nice. Better than some of the factory homage models.

Nice work. Which ref case and movement did you use? Might be able to do this with a FOIS by switching out the hands and bezel.

The case ref is unknown as it's just a mid case section. The movement is a lemania 1863 (for now) because they're cheapish. I did think of doing this to a FOIS but didn't due to cost but also the inability to fit the big silver tension ring Hesalite crystal.
