A blue dial, but not in the way you think.

I thought I'd share this interesting pocket watch from the early 1930's. The print is dark blue, save the company and import signatures.

I want to thank @Syrte for helping me figure out a bit of French shipping tracking issues when the watch was coming my way.

I have seen only one other example of this dial type (which turns out also had the same crown and case), found in an auction catalogue. Their movement serials are 3 numbers off! (7952799 vs. 7953802)

I've seen this one - or one very similar to it somehow - many years ago before I was really into watches, definitely had no Omegas, no desire up to that point and no earthly need for a pocket watch and I wanted it immediately. Now you've reminded me of it again and I'm thinking how I can find one. It's very, very beautiful.

Interesting find! I would be unpleasantly surprised if it weren't original. With the fine vertical grain, raised ink, and complexities. The signature looks fine, too.
