Hi! I'd neep some help with this 003. The seller calims it's all original (except the strap) and untouched. Movement# is #22 M. What do you think?
What is visible looks pretty good to me, although we can't see the crown or pushers well in those shots. I would want to see the caseback, inside caseback. And most important, the movement - especially give the corrosion seen on the hands. Authenticity is one thing, condition is another and both would influence what I personally would be willing to pay.
Depends on how much is being asked as to wether how good or bad it is. If it is 3K it is a bargain, if it is 8K it is over the top! For now
As others have noted, the lume isn't in great shape and it's missing the bracelet. That said, it does appear to be original and the movement looks to be in good condition. I think anywhere from $5K-$5.5K is in the right ballpark, especially given the Ed Whites on eBay right now that are fetching $6-7K with very visible flaws. If you're patient, you can probably find a better example for $5.5-6K. Given where the market is moving, however, this is a decent example that you may be able to acquire at a fair price with a little negotiating.
Thanks for the input. I let this one go... It really is a bummer that in the wtb you can only post with 200+ posts. I'm searching my b... off for a decent 2998 or a 105.002 or a very good 105.003...
Stay patient and you'll probably find one when / where you least expect it. The fun is in the chase! (and in wearing our prize after finally chasing it down)
As above everything looks original and the movement looks nice and clean, but given the condition, this has to be $5k top surely?
Looks like all the lume has gone. I would think $5k would be top end and $500 too much. Wise move not to go for it. A couple of upwards blips in the EW market may not signal a trend..............have to wait and see
My 2 cents ... If those papers real to that particular watch, better grab it at that price range Of 5000 € Lume plots notwithstanding, diesnt the movement and caseback seem ok? Long gone may be the days of a 5000 US Dollar Ed White? Not funny anymore ... Tough one, Granted, it's only 2 cents...
maybe am i wrong but i find a possible issue on the reset to zero of the hour counter of the chrono. so a revision is most probably needed.
Second time today I've seen that 'Appointed Agents' booklet and don't remember seeing one before. Agree with John that if the papers match the watch then I'd personally put some (not inconsiderable) value on that as I don't see it very often. Take a look how this box and papers set, just listed today, is already racing up. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-OME...Accessories_SpareParts_SM&hash=item2c95a8e801Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
