... and I was not even searching for it! Life is good sometimes, after a complex but very pleasant trade involving unicorn parts, a friend, a collector and me, I'm the current caretaker of this : Never thought I could afford one. First things first, a big thank you to OF and @Spacefruit : without this forum and the speedmaster101 website, nothing would have happened. An extract is on the way as I'm fairly certain the serial is too early for a -63, I don't really care as I intend to wear it, not stockpile it in the safe. I ordered the MWO book to get a more precise idea about the pushers (service) and the matching bracelets. I have a 1506 which needs some repairs, but it is 20mm. Older flatlinks prices are and out of my range. Case is somewhat refinished (glossy sides, brushed top) but I may leave it alone. I don't do patina usually, but this speedy is very pleasing to me, its various flaws do not bother me very much: the subdial scratch is more noticeable in pictures than IRL. I'm a big fan of the seamonster logo, the case back is . In a word :
So you "claim" the case back is to die for... fantastic... very nice. But no picture! With no picture I'm more likely to believe its polished flat. Pictures! Must have pictures! Beautiful piece by the way.
Beautiful! congrats!! @S.H. where did you order the MWO book from? My local OBs (in London) aren’t selling and Amazon has a 3-month wait
Yes I would like very much to know too as I tried unsuccessfully to order the MWO BTW, nice catch OP. Very pleasant looking piece.
I found a stash of old used screw-in pushers, some 3.5x4.5 were still good and found their way into the case (which is threaded, can't use push fit ones). They were most probably from old speedys because it is a direct fit, no fiddling. Looks better! I don't bet on any WR anyway. Also, a 1035 from the late 60s and repro endlinks happened: In a word :
