Hi OFM's
I have a 105.003/64 omega speadmaster and would appreciate you advice to the correct age of bracelet that would be the original. At the moment I'm bidding on a 2/65 it has no:4 end links however I'm hoping that no:6 end links will fit. Thank you in advance for any information and advice.

The endlinks are the hard part. Unless you're ok with aftermarket.

Thank you for your reply, l don't have the #6 end links and appreciate how rare they are. Is the date stamp 2/65 on the bracelet within timeline for the s105.003/64

I’d expect a -64 to have a late 64 or 65 clasp code. Possibly even early 66.
To be honest I’d be more concerned about condition. Better to have a nice bracelet with the wrong clasp code than a poor one from the correct timeframe

and it is definitely near by, what was delivered to the customer

no one can say wich stamp could be the one most "original-delivery"

if you have a extract from Omega for the watch, it is possible to
speculate based on watch delivery date, but no one can really specify

check the condition from the spring tensions and thatthere are enough
from these special links will come with the bracelet

I was under the impression that these heads could have been fitted at a point of sale to a bracelet that could have been on the shelf for a while, making up to a year or so earlier possibly correct as well. Is this your understanding too?

Just my opinion but I’m wary of an earlier bracelet. I’ve only seen them date close to or slightly later than the reference in the caseback (bear in mind I’m not talking about the delivery or production date on an extract).
This is because generally the reference number (ie 105.003-64) doesn’t mean they were produced from Jan ‘64, it’s just the reference number. Often they were produced second half or latter part of -64 into 65, then perhaps a few months or longer before being sold.
So imo a -64 generally wouldn’t be expected to have a 4 63 for example on the bracelet or even 1 64.
