Hello Omega-nuts, I have a Seamaster 165.014 from the early 60s (see my profile pic and the attached) and I wondered if one of you experts would be able to help advise if this bracelet that I have found on EBay is 1, the Correct bracelet for my model, 2, is the correct size for the watch, 3, is genuine and has all of the original links/end links etc. 4, is a good price?

Look at this on eBay
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175110400143?hash=item28c564a88f:g:ml0AAOSw5d5h4aOz

Many thanks to anyone who responds. Jon

Hello,

The model is the right one although the stamped date might be too early, the only way to know the “correct” date to your particular watch would be ordering an extract and adding a quarter at the most. The stamp 1/66 would correspond to a watch manufactured at the end of 1965. At least that’s what I have noticed.

Although the bracelet is minty, you will be paying an extra for that but it will not match the condition of your watch and will inevitably look put together. Plus you have to factor the very expensive “6” end links in the price, which are not included. Those are the same end links that straight lugs Speedmasters use so be prepared to pay an arm and a leg.

If it was my watch I would look for a bracelet that is stamped between 3/66 and 1/67, maybe not that mint and that possibly includes the end links. I have not checked recent prices but you might get lucky and find one within your budget. Or just find a cheaper option and source the repro end links.

I don't see any end-links in that listing.

Agree on a 7912, but why should it be stamped xx/65? Do we know when the actual watch was produced? Movement number?

Something I have seen is that people buys aftermarket 19mm endlinks, buying the correct n.6 later (if they can afford).

Yes, an extract would be necessary to know for sure, other examples found online have a production date of the second half 66, early 67 so 1/66 would probably be too early. I have edited my post to reflect this. Thanks for noting

Thank you very much @Franco and @pmontoyap. If you come across any that meet the criteria, please do let me know. It would be greatly appreciated. I’m a bit out of my depth as you can already probably tell!

Hi, @pmontoyap, does this one that I have found on eBay look any better? It's not in mint condition and is much cheaper which follows your original advice.

Listing on eBay:

Many thanks in advance for your help. Jon
