Hello everybody,

After a lot of back and forth, I have now decided to sell my Omega Seamaster 300 - Big Triangle (Ref. 166.024).

You probably know that: Actually, the watch was once a grail for me, but when you have it, after the initial fall in love you look around for other watches and so it happens as it always happens 😁
Since I just fall in love with other watches too quickly, you can benefit from this and grab yourself this beauty.

[condition]

Worn and of course has corresponding signs of use. In my opinion, the case has never been polished up in any way. I also did not notice that the watch was ever otherwise refurbished or similar. That would also match the information provided by the previous owner.

EDIT: The watch was recently serviced by an officially certified Omega service center here in Germany. The movement has been serviced an the small crown was replaced by an original Omega SD crown. NO polishing!

[technical specifications]

Case: 40mm
Strap attachment: 20mm
Movement: 565
Serial number: 2643XXXX (therefore production period around 1968)

If you follow the chronological division of the individual components of the watch (set of hands, bezel, case, etc.) on omegaseamaster300.com or other relating sites, all parts match the production period from 1968

[scope of delivery]

Watch + bracelet. The bracelet is a combination of the 1171 from Uncle Seiko with an original Omega clasp

[price]

I'm asking 8500€ shipping and insurance included, shipped anywhere DHL (Express) goes. The watch will be shipped from Germany.

Will accept returns within 48 hours if watch is not as described (return shipping at buyers expense).

I would also be interested in a trade. I would be interested in a Rolex Submariner or a Sea-Dweller. You can offer me everything, whether it's a vintage model or a newer one.

[additional info]

As already mentioned above, you have the opportunity to get a beautiful and well-preserved SM 300 Big Triangle. Outwardly, I would see the clock at an 8/10. It has scratches and flaws here and there, but nothing wild that you (if you wanted) couldn't polish out. It is important that the bezel inlay is fully intact and without cracks. That is given here.

I would also like to say a few words about the luminous material. Because of the color (slightly greenish) you could get the idea that the watch has been relumed. But I can get the erroneous belief out of the way. I asked a few of the SM 300 experts here and they confirmed me that this coloring (slightly greenish hue and luminous material of the hands slightly darker) is completely typical for the production period of the watch. If necessary, I can make the chat histories available (upon request and with the consent of the relevant people, of course). I also made a video in which the luminous material is illuminated with UV light. You can see the even glow and fading of the lume here.

I would like to mention one more point. There is a slight circular abrasion or abrasion on the dial. Probably caused by an earlier incorrect adjustment of the hands. The hands are currently NOT rubbing on the dial. I tried to make the abrasion visible on a picture. But you can only see it easily and in backlight.

I can't comment on the service history. The watch currently has good measured values and, in my opinion, does not need any service (see picture).

If I have forgotten something, or if you have any questions, please send them to me and write to me. I check it out several times a day and try to answer as quickly as possible.

Thanks OF for the space 😀

Price update to 9400 €

I still would be happy to trade! Gladly against a Sub / SD or for an old Speedy.
But If someone would like to offer something else of the same value for exchange, just shoot me a message.
