·This vintage 'Devil Diver' chrono is in very good original condition, with the manual-wind Valjoux 7733 movement having a full service in late 2020 which included a new mainspring. The chrono functions (stop, start, reset) all work as they should.
This is a great example of a popular vintage diver and provides a great deal of bang for the buck - reduced (and absolutely, definitely final) pricing of USD1,150 thanks to rise in USD value which still includes FedEx or DHL worldwide shipping.
Original blue dial has faded slightly with all the with lettering still crisp and legible The sub-dials have also aged to cream. Hands retail their original finish and have all their original tritium, as do all the hour plots - all light up and fade quickly after exposure.
The signed 38mm stainless case appears unpolished with chamfers/edges still sharp; original brushing is still apparent with some surface scratches and small dings. Original signed crown.
The bezel rotates easily and presents with uniform fading to its current 'ghost' appearance - appears to be a hallmark of these narrower bezels. Some minor indentation between the 20 and 10 markers. The plexiglass is unmarked.
Watch is presented on a NOS period JB Champion mesh bracelet - a fabulous combination if I don't say so myself...(spent some time looking for the best match).
I have been more of a buyer than seller on OF but have several references from both sides in the Seller Review forum.
