http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-O...Gents-Watch-/292199483144?hash=item4408724708Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

This item is currently up for auction and wondered if anyone could offer an opinion, I realise without photographs of the movement any judgement is difficult. I understand these front loading designs are less faked and the wear on the watch seems age appropriate, the dial, handles and case back seem to match those sold from retailers rather than ebay.

I'm interested in the cosmic 2000 as the style seems to fit with leather straps or a metal bracelet with 676 endlinks.

I believe the crystal on a 2000 will be mineral and any attempt at polishing would need a diamond paste.

    As always all thoughts appreciated.

That much damage to the crystal will require a replacement.

Figure in the cost of a service.

    Condition looks quite decent.

Check eBay SOLD listings for value.
