6k€ for a gold plated Compur

Hello,
The Auctionata estimate was rather low (1.2k€), but the final price seems very high to me: 6250€.
The model is rare, but it remains a gold plated case.
What do you guys think?

High indeed for a gold plated...but maybe black dial makes its attractiveness...

I watched in amazement as well. Black dial a premium, but gold plated? A JLC with cal 285 in gold traded much cheaper (but no bargain imho) later in auction. I went (watched I should say) in search of chronos and left empty handed. Yes, UG madness....
