·Hello guys it's my first time posting here.
I recently acquired this Admiral 5 star:
I was quite surprised when I saw 36000 on the movement and the overall condition of the watch. But then I made some research and found that usually Longines reserved the 36k with watches designated Ultra Chron.
I then emailed Longines to get this response:
Now I've learned from this forum that the 6651 is an update to the 431 where the beat rate was reduced. I still don't get why my watch, and a few other watches I've googled, have 431 movement despite having 6651 engraved on the inner caseback.

Originally, the serial number 18'484'648 identifies a wristwatch in stainless steel bearing the reference 1503, part of the Admiral collection. It is fitted with a Longines mechanical self-winding movement, caliber 6651 and was produced in 1977.
