dear fellows, I saw this seamaster on ebay for 650$, looks clean but id really enjoy help on your opinion, is there anything i cant see there?
I would think what you can see would be enough to scare you off. Never mind the dial, look at the case in the last photo. If you're looking for a Seamaster, there are a few on the Private Sales Forum, on this very site, for about the same price in far superior condition.
It's indeed redialed and you should definitely look for a different watch. Have patience, do your research and you'll find what you're looking for a smaller price, too.
I would buy that for the movement and toss the rest in the garbage and wouldn't pay more than $125.00 for the movement DON
Even my poorly trained eye nailed the redial. The corrosion on the case is very bad. As others have noted several much better examples exist here on the sellers forum in that price range. Check them out. You will not be disappointed.
