Man, I was leaning towards a SM300MC, but now I'm thinking of the 60LE again. We'll see how prices settle in after a year or so. If I'd pick up a SM30060LE, I'd keep my RM60 on a leather strap all the time.

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone!
For how many of you Seamaster 60LE owners is this your one and only Seamaster?

Was walking past and OB and was surprised to see it in the window. Haggled a little and was offered 5% off so got it bought.

It's the first watch I've bought new, usually collect vintage pieces. Its no Speedy but I think it's stunning.
It is new but it's a rare find

Not a fan of 60th LE trio. I don’t like faux patina nor shiny/polished bracelets. And man are these things shiny

Ok, that beautiful, yet somewhat misplaced photo of a Railmaster LE has gotten this thread stuck...

How about this....
can anyone help me with my dilemma: at some point I would like to add a Seamaster (again) back into my humble line up and I'm debating between the SM300MC and the SM300LE60.
I do think the MC is more bang for the buck (esp. on the 2nd hand market) but it's too similar to my no-date pre-ceramic Sub, so I'm leaning towards the LE. I have tried both on my wrist and they seem to wear pretty similar. I love the MC's for its larger bezel insert, darker dial color and jump hour function. But I prefer the LE for its more vintage lume color, more simple dial text layout and having a bi-directional countdown bezel adds some variety to my collection. I do plan on keeping my beloved Submariner and so the LE is a better choice to add some variety. Not to mention, more strap options with the 19mm lugs of the LE. I love my Railmaster LE, but cannot get the Seamaster out of my sights!

Would anyone like to comment or share their thoughts on this dilemma?

I think the 60th LE would be a good partner to the sub. As you say, the 300MC is very similar whereas the LE is sufficiently different for them to co-exist.

I tried the LE on and thought it was lovely. My only issues were that I thought the bracelet was a bit chunky for a watch of that size, And on the watch I tried the bezel had quite a lot of play. That said, If I could find one at mrsp, I think I would buy it.

Good luck with your search....

Okay, feeling guilty with the misplaced picture and therefore obliged to give you my advice…

I own both and I find them not very similar. The MC wears much bigger and although it’s a beautiful watch it appears to me that Omega haven’t thought through the final design and stopped somewhere on the journey. The provenance of the LE is obvious and beautifully done as it is a 1:1 copy but with a high tech movement. And it’s a perfect match to your RMLE!

As you already mentioned go and get the SM300LE with its beautiful bracelet and put a vintage strap on your RMLE. Everything sorted for the future and you’re a proud owner of two of the most beautiful watches ever…😎

Thanks for the thoughts guys...looks like the vote is in...plus it will be nice to own 2/3 of the Trilogy...and who knows?, maybe I'll pick up the Speedmaster LE60 some time in the future to complete the set.

SM300LE if you prefer smaller watches compared to the SM300MC plus there is enough difference between the SM300LE and the RM.

Plus, the interchangeability of the straps I've already been collecting for my Railmaster 60LE is convenient.
19mm lugs are easier to shop for than 21mm.
