Was walking past and OB and was surprised to see it in the window. Haggled a little and was offered 5% off so got it bought.

It's the first watch I've bought new, usually collect vintage pieces. Its no Speedy but I think it's stunning.

This one is my favorite of the trilogy. Perfect would be of entire bracelet were brushed. (Looks like some are polished)

Does it have old “original” movement or brand new master co ax?

New Master Coax

Only the speedy has the older movement RM and SM has newer movements

I've got the chance to put my name down for the Seamaster 60th Anniv. Is this a rare piece/Good Investment? Been off the Omega scene for a while my last piece was the Silver Snoopy Award.

Buy it for what it is id say. IF it appreciates then its icing on the cake. For me its a fabulous watch and its was my primary reason for buying

MB - That is the best photo I have seen of the SM on the net - bar none.
I struggled with the SM on the bracelet - due to the internal steel bezel making it a touch shiny overall. To me this amazing watch suits the railmaster strap.
Not the bracelets fault - which to me perfectly suits the speedmaster

Somehow to me, the Seamaster300LE looks best on the bracelet (as does any Submariner) and the Railmaster on a vintage leather strap.

To me it perfectly suits the 1960s tropic “basketweave” rubber strap. I have just bought an NOS 1960s tropic on line - and am excited to match it up when it arrives Monday

Should look something like:

Some Bezel goes 10 to 50... other from 50 to 10... time to reintroduce the 60-minutes bezel 😡

Tried it on a tropic I have and put this image over in the Trilogy discussion. Its a good look, but for me prefer a nice vintage leather 😀

Seems like most of 50 to 10. Only one in this thread is the one picture from Instagram.

Does the 8806 movement in the Seamaster and Railmaster have the jumping hour function like the Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial?

No, unfortunately not. Having purchased the Railmaster 60LE, if I decide to pick up a Seamaster, I'm really leaning towards the MC version to have some variety in my humble collection.

No, but it does have a quick set date...
