Every time I see shots of the RM I fall a little more in love with it. Awesome to see shots in natural light. Such a cool watch. It's crazy how much the dial color seems to change in different light and at extreme angles.
Really hoping once my speedy shows up I'm still happy with my decision.

How are you guys liking the bracelet for comfort?

I went to the Omega AD two days ago to checkout this Railmaster cause it just looks so cool in pictures. It didn't sing to me as I thought it would. And I'd never really considered buying an Omega as I have a Rolex and always thought of myself as a one-watch guy. Anyhow, I also checked out the Speedmaster Professional Hesalite and it really popped on my wrist. Now I can say I'm the proud owner of a Speedmaster Professional and I love it as much as my Rolex Explorer. I cannot stop looking at it. I did not get the 1957 retro, just the amazing 311.30.42.30.01.005. My only complaint is that awesome collector box is as big as a dang boot-box.

Truth is, the RMLE will always look ordinary when I line it up with my other watches which include the Speedy. Just like the girl next door that you've been drooling all your life, the minimalist RMLE won't look good beside a supermodel like the Moon Watch with its black bezel, 3 eye-popping pushers, twisted lugs and 3 recessed subdials.

It takes time to appreciate the RMLE. She wants to be alone with you. 😀

I want to know how strong the luminous marks are. Do they last for 12 hours or so or not. I’d much appreciate response from the early owners of this Railmaster watch.

Very well said, mate! 👍

3 Pushers on a Moonwatch, are you sure?

Haha the crown looked like a pusher when I was looking at it.

And indeed it is a crown, not a pusher! I think I need to wear the Speedy more often and re-acquaint myself with it.*

* - Please ignore the other watch. She's grounded for a week. 🙁

That’s going to be a tough week trust me! I had to force myself to switch to the Globemaster today. But I figured a 2 hour walk in the pouring rain might be a job more for the 100m-rated GM rather than “Christine” (my RM).

Back on track

Well you have to have a rail in a Railmaster thread don’t you?

Small reward for my 2hour vertical swim.

By the way - the Speedy Triple Date has three pushers (there’s a small hidden one at about 10 O’Clock).

Tell you what, I’ll do test over a few hours and post the results afterwards.

@Pun, here you go:-
Test started with each watch being subjected to 1000 Lumens* for 10 seconds at 5mm from watch crystal.

After this my camera gave up the ghost, but the lume is just about visible with the naked eye in absolute darkness. So 12 hours is a bit optimistic.

And here's how things look for various vintage, modern, Omega and Sinn watches

Should I surmise that Explorer 214270 has better lumes that stay visible even after 12 hours!! I’ll try if I can post the visuals this night.

Nice shots! Wish there was a watchwinder that charges the watch lume periodically. I haven’t seen one with that feature. It’s not hard for manufacturers to put a led inside their winders, isn’t it?

Had to cut the week short. I could not resist my PRECIOUS (or Christine in your case).
