I'm curious as well. Surprisingly, the Omega group on Watchuseek doesn't have a thread specifically for the 60th '57 Speedy. Would love to know about other quality Omega forums.

I now have a serious doubt on the existence of these 3-to-4 speedmasters 60th anniversary delivered in Hamburg. Not only this would be the only place where this happened, but there is no evidence at all on Instagram (you could think that the OB or one of the buyers would publish something, for the sake that these are the first ones to be released), and no evidence here either.
I would agree that a potential buyer will post the first wirst shots. I would give my right and left wrist that the OB would never post anything on the social medias.

Thank you. I really can't wait!!! Still one of the watches handed to OBs and Fratellos of this world to show around.

Damn that is a good looking watch. Every time I see more pictures of it I get a little more impatient. Just shockingly good. Never thought I'd get to own a watch that would scratch the 2915 itch, but the shots of this re-edition in natural light are unreal. Couldn't be more excited to receive my watch.

I just wish there was some level of communication from Omega. I don't mind it being late. I don't want them rushing out an inferior product and I understand that there are production hiccups that crop up and set things back. But having people calling OBs who also have no information, and being given guestimates as to when the watches will ship that are either not the same as estimates provided by other OBs, or else proven incorrect month after month is not the best way to handle it.

Just someone from Omega please send an email to everyone who pre-ordered one saying that there are production issues and they're aiming at beginning delivery in October, November, December (whatever the real answer is), and that if anything changes another update will come. If it's December it's December, and that's fine. Honestly I don't care as long as the watch I receive looks as good as the images I've seen so far. I just want to have some indication of when to expect it so I can finally set my expectations based on something real. The waiting isn't the hard part. It's the not knowing.

See my post on 7th August. I had an email from Omega International Watch Sales which stated 'deliveries wili commence around September/October', of course this was only the start, when they will be completed is anybody's guess!

I have kept out of all the speculation since, it is not going to make it arrive any quicker, and they did send me the Speedy Tuesday magazine and 60th Anniversary Speedmaster poster to ease the wait!

Went into the OB last Saturday to re-check the Speedie delivery story...false alarm. They had Speedie Tuesday's for customer delivery not '57 LEs. Not that it bugs me much as I'm not really into Speedmasters.

I think the complaint here is not that you found out X date, it's that the company isn't explicitly communicating with either its customers or operating units. Look at what rabid fans all of us are, yet no one with any knowledge in the Mother Ship deigns to let us know anything?! Very Soviet style customer service...you'd think they would see a value in keeping in very close communication with all of us. Treat us like insiders, cherished friends, keep us connected and queued up for the next expensive curiosity they confect!

Essentially this. I mean I get that some people spend more money with the company and have personal relationships or whatever and are thus able to get inside scoops on certain things, but it's not exactly hard to make a mailing list of everyone who ordered and send all of us that email. Or send that email to OBs so that we don't have some people being told June/July/August while others are being told October. Even if the correct information is out there, that level of misinformation undermines all information. Everyone is saying they've heard a different thing, so why trust anyone to have the right story?

IMO it's something the bigger manufacturers could learn from all the little micro brands out there. Just a bit more transparency. I think they'd find that people would be a lot more patient if they knew just a little bit more of what's going on. When Halios hits a production snag and order windows or ship dates get pushed, we get an update (mostly just on instagram). I don't think it's too much to ask for the same level of customer service from a huge company I'm paying +7000 for a watch, as I'd get from a company I'm spending $700 with, that's run entirely by one guy.

Again, not unhappy with the wait. I want them to get it right. Just a bit frustrated at the different time estimates that are out there, all or most of which are supposedly coming from Omega employees. Just about managing expectations.

Hi guys...

My name is Fabian and I have been a silent reader here fore some time. Originally Swiss but currently living in Singapore.
I just signed up to give some first hand testimony that the first Speedy's are arriving in Switzerland and Germany (as oysterholic stated correctly). The OB in Zurich sent me the pick-up invitation (made a deposit in May) last Friday, however as I am in Singapore currently I will only be able to pick it up in late October 🙁. My LE number is #62/3557. I am not in any way a special customer and do not get preferred treatment or anything, in fact this is the first Omega that I buy from an OB directly.

So I don't think that you guys in the states should have to wait for much longer.

Best,
Fabian

Absolutely agree with you. Omega Boutiques just take a full deposit (basically us loaning Omega $7250+ interest free..) and does absolutely nothing to keep us updated?? Pretty disappointing if you ask me. I have waited longer for other watches before, so I do not mind waiting. It is their lack of decency to keep their clients updated so we can make our plans on our end.
