Here's another sweet one that has stayed in the collection for some time... just not getting the attention it truly deserves! Marvin is one of those highly under-appreciated, under the radar brands that are great fun to wear, IMO. This one, with the rarely seen starfish medallion on the caseback is in very good to excellent condition. The dial has a wonderful 3-D look with faceted, applied arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, & 12, and the lume dots (or, balls as some refer to these) are all in great condition. The case is crisp and unpolished, a few minor scratches from normal wear. Width of case w/o crown is 34mm, and lug-lug is 40.5mm. The Marvin work-horse caliber 560 manual-wind is keeping excellent vintage time. A service was not performed while in my possession; that is recommended if you plan to wear/wind the watch regularly. Sold head only, although I might have a strap to throw on if that’s important to you. Lug width is 18mm. The price includes PayPal fees and shipping if you are continental US; all others will pay the costs. I will accept a return, but only if the watch is not as it has been described here. Thanks for looking!
I'm so tempted Doug, but I've got an incoming today that you'd be familiar with . This one won't last long though, it's a beautiful example.
Nice looking piece. I know nothing about Marvin. Did they use their own movements? 5 adj makes it a chronometer?
Oh, yes, Captain, the cal. 560 was their own, and this one is certainly in fine shape, despite no service with me in the last 3 years.. My Timegrapher shows very good amplitude in all positions, and +10-20s/day timekeeping. I have a few other Marvin with the same movement and, weirdly, they all act like this! I’m not sure about Chronometer grading, but wouldn’t surprise me. Best, Doug
