565 winding issue

Hello!

I am currently servicing a 565 movement. This movement is very new to me and I do not have much knowledge about it. The winding is very stiff, almost stuck when the automatic module is on. I believe the problem is the coupling assembly. Therefore I am asking if it's possible to disassemble the wheel to see if there is a problem there?

Thank you very much for any help.

It seems you need a special tool to open it. Is there a way to do so without it? Is it being held together by a screw?

Hi @Bopmd - put it aside and wait until tomorrow, our resident watchmakers may check in by then.

Yes, you can take them apart without the tool:

However it would be easier to just replace it, if you are not familiar with this.

Also, make sure the remainder of the automatic winding is assembled correctly...

Cheers, Al

Thank you both! I will attempt to take the wheel apart as it is very expensive to replace and the watch isn't that special.
