Cool, but it doesn't have the white COMEX box in the dial. Without it, how are your rich friends going to know you're better than them?

Sorry, this is OT, but I went to that site and couldn't understand a thing ... however, this listing caught my eye.

She is selling her 4 year old deaf cat who talks a lot, according to Charlotte anyway, and it likes lots of fuss. It stays in a lot during the winter but does not mind going out in the summer. Sounds like a fussy bugger but I am sure someone will take him.

I was wondering about that. Do they carry that high a price with a normal dial?

Having two of these little monsters in our house - what Charlotte doesn’t realise is that her cat isn’t deaf - it’s just ignoring her....

Non "Comex" dial is correct for this specimen.

I understand that. But isn’t this priced as a comex dial one, and the non comex trade for less?

Must be in the eyes of the beholder. It was gone in a couple of hours....

People pay for cats? Come to my city, you can have 1 of about 550,000 for free.

Some people pay for some kind of cats. Seemingly deaf fussy buggers are a lot cheaper than deaf fussy kitten buggers of the same variety, which are more than double the price. Even in Norway your average non deaf non fussy regular cat can be had for free.

Thank you for clarifying. I was under the impression that deaf fussy cats are considered regular, while non-deaf/non-fussy cats are quite rare.

For some reason, this discussion reminds me of this movie:

Your impression is correct. It's a strange world we live in. I don't own any kind of cat, but if I did I would go for one of the free, non fussy, regular types. The same would apply to a Rolex sub, unless it was the green one which would be top of my list.

I would own a meerkat.

And a green anniversary sub (the real one, with the black dial).

Having two of the ‘little darlings’ I can confirm that kittens cost twice as much 10 years ago (who sells a mature cat anyway - heartless or what?)
But that’s only if you agree to have them ‘nipped’ otherwise you can quadruple the price.
Needless to say ours are ‘less than full’ cats

Oy! - where’s my nads you b’stard?
