550 Rotor Pinion question

My 751 movement runs but stops randomly and I believe it's because of the worn rotor pinion.
I came across these videos which I assume it's @Archer

Is there a way to replace this safely without a Horia tool? Not sure how tight these are connected to the oscillating weight, but was hoping I could do this on my own. Thanks in advance!

A staking tool can be used to do this job. If you don’t have a staking tool, that could be a problem.

Do you mean links that show how to replace the rotor bearing gear without appropriate tools? If that is your question, then no I can’t recommend any links.

Oh I meant links to the tool itself as I'm not quite sure which tools you're referring to. Thanks.

Hmm, I was hoping to gently press it down with force but as I'm typing this sounds like a bad idea. I'll take it to my watchmaker.

This is not a DIY job...

Not that Al needs my support but my watchmaker always tells me that there is risk even when he inserts a bushing. If the watchmaker is concerned... then step away from the watch!
