550 Movement in a 165.024 Question

I've read somewhere about the earlier 165.024 used a 550 movement until approx 1966. I cannot find that document now. Can anyone shed some light please. Were they phased out by 67 or with the introduction of the big Triangle , ..... USA movement shown. .

550 was generally used in watches exported to the US to qualify for reduced tariffs.
Perhaps we should be looking at something similar now

Based on what I can see from the serial number is a NOV66 US batch.
I have never discovered a rule in using big triangle dial for civilian market. From my own db of 148 pieces of 165.024 non military watches only 34 are having BT dial. So roughly only one of four was BT dial watch, which makes them rarer.
