Any ideas on how to seal the interior of this box so the material (is it rubber?) used on the inside of the box and the cushion doesn't flake off. Right now it's rubbing off the cushion and onto the caseback - it's also scattering pieces of the material at the touch. I've never come across this before. Omega has had a reputation of rubbish boxes but this wins some kind of Darwin Award for self destruction. I was thinking of some kind of spray on seal. A paint brush dragged over the surface would be a disaster. Thanks in advance.

Buy a new rubber bezel PO to go with the box, few years they will match :whistling:

    ( @Nobel Prize will get a chuckle )

Quite a few of the Omega boxes do this. There is no cure for it I'm afraid. Its probably caused by moisture somehow?? I would put some silica gel in that box and leave it, find something else to store your watch in (like the watch rolls I have lol for sale)
