im very novice here.. but is that caseback not for this watch ? or was the bezel thats missing possibly gold/goldplated.
I dont think you usually see 2 tone on the case back if not on the front.

I think finding a bezel for your watch might be difficult.
you will be wanting a correct second hand too.

good luck with your hunt.

All Connies (incl all SS cases) used to have a gold medallion at this stage, up to and including the 14381/14393s into the early 60s.
I think the early doglegs may have had them too.

Interesting, thanks for the advice.
One of my connies is SS with no gold medallion, Its a 168015 though, and the other (14381) is solid gold. I guess i still havent seen enough

that's about right
the .015 is a later model so, if gold cap, would have a gold medallion. If SS would have an integral SS medallion.
solid gold watches are always gold as they are an integral part of the watch, not applied.
Both your watches are likely to have the 'brickwork observatory' medallion.
Originally only gold watches had a brickwork observatory, later this changed so that SS & gold cap watches had the brickwork medallion and (some) gold watches had a plain observatory.

Finding a bezel is going to be nearly impossible. Normally one might find a donor watch in worse condition than the one needing the part, but that's going to be hard considering how wow bad this one is.

Don't waste any more money on this pig.

So iv decided I'm going to save some of the parts off of this watch since I'd love to find another one of these and just part it out, it runs great so that's a plus
