503 friction spring

The position of friction spring? Above or below tge teeth of second pinion? Seems it should be above holding pinion in place but doesn’t run with bridge on that way. Under teeth runs but what purpose would friction spring have under teeth?

I'm not familiar with the particulars of this movement, but plenty of watches have friction springs that go under the pinion rather than on top, so it's not impossible. The 321-3861 family and 7750 do this, and I believe the 30t2 series does as well.

Under - it should lift the sweep seconds pinion up into the jewel.

When there is no extra bridge with a jewel, like on a 550 family, it goes over the top.
