Does anyone have or at least point me in the right direction for a Sweep Second Center Wheel for a 501? I've been searching online for the last 45 mins and I'm coming up with nothing. Any help is very much appreciated!

My watchmaker called and said he can't locate one anywhere.

    Very frustrated right now.

That movement is obsolete, and will be difficult to obtain parts for. There is no part in that watch called a “sweep second center wheel”. What you likely need is the center sweep second pinion. I am unable to locate a part number for that, but there may be a vintage watch material dealer who can identify what you need if you describe it properly.

See what happens when the correct terminology is used? Brilliant, JimInOz!

    It wasn't all that hard.

    Find the base movement for a 501 (I thought it was a 500, but actually a 470).

Look up my parts list for the item.

Do a Google search for "Omega 470/1250" and bingo.

And I'm not even a watchmaker.

Still, pretty sharp! It has been said that nobody knows it all, but together we know it all.:) I was unsuccessful in trying to find a parts list for that caliber.

Thank you both! After a bit more research, I believe it's 470.1224 is the part I'm looking for but I will check with my watchmaker today. I did a lot of intense research last night and found out more and more about vintage Omega parts. Thanks again!

Well that part is not directly related to sweeping seconds, so if what you really need is a center wheel and cannon pinion, then your terminology was even more off than originally thought! Or is this a punctuation problem?

"501 Sweep Second Center Wheel" or "501 Sweep Second, Center Wheel"

    ;)

By the way, if you don't actually need a new cannon pinion, you can search for just the wheel:
