January 23 BILD building - Berlin, where I was invited during a VIP evening and talked with Apollo 15 CMP - Command Module Pilot Alfred Worden about watches, both Rolex GMT-master pilot watch and the NASA-issued Speedmaster chronograph.
Long story short, we all know about the 14 seconds on Apollo 13 and that the astronauts wanted a more legible dial, already requested during 1967 feedback questionaire on the Speedmaster by NASA engineer James Ragan.
Worden told me NASA had half-a-dozen bespoke practical "60 seconds" bezels made for the Apollo 15 prime and backup crews.
I will share more soon in a more elaborate article... #moonwatchuniverse
