At the risk of getting crucified, can anyone please offer some insight as to what's going on with this one? Prototype? Franken?

It looks as if most of the copy is lifted from this Fratello article: https://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-speedmaster-professional-radial-dial-1978/#gref

And no, I'm not thinking about buying it, just curious as these dials don't pop up often.

Cheers,

Consider it a case of insane luck. Would you display it in a watch or keep the dial separated? I put mine in a watch and found a unserialed star case. Its a cool piece of history that should be shared. The lore is that an omega watchmaker had all the throwaway dials and cases. So some of those dials/cases made their way into repaired watches or collections when the watchmaker passed away. Valuation is subjective but the quantities produced is very low. I believe my dial was rejected as the subdial concentric ridges didn't seem to be as deep as you would expect.
