Another example of how diverse patina can be on some dials, stunning, some will diss this dial but I love it 馃憤
Thanks, I would never wear it every day. Just want to see and enjoy this interesting thing.馃榾

Caliber 17.8 sc is no chronometer movement ?

no, not on common use. until now there has not shown up a single one...
However there is ref 2144 which was sold with an R 17.8 chronometer rated movement but this was with sub-seconds and not SC
It is not impossible that there were chronometre rated R 17.8 SC movements but we have never seen a single one yet.
But keep in mind with Omega: never say never...

IMO its not. I go by the movement. The chronometre movements usually have special finsih at least to the ratchet and crown wheels.
I can麓t judge the originality of the dial as the photo is too small and not high resolution. Could be a redone dial.

I would like to see the "structure" of the dial麓s surface (sanding/brushing or similar) which can麓t be seen in the photo.
The colour of the lume is weird for such an old watch - I am sure it has at least been re-lumed. So if I see one red flag I would like to go further into depth... and the inking of "chronometre is too bold for my taste compared to the word Omega.
I am still not convinced its an original chronometre
