I'm treading with caution but was interested in this ebay listing for a SM300 3rd gen. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Seamaster-300-Omega-Watch/312301918707Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network A couple of red flags that standout to me are: -the bezel which looks too good to be true/maybe an aldo restoration? -the lume on the number 12 (never seen this on a SM300 before) Other than that, the watch comes with a 1035 bracelet and #6 end links. I reached out to the seller (who doesn't have much feedback) and claims to have found this in a storage unit he bought... Also says he doesn't know how to open the caseback so I don't expect to get much clarity there before the auction ends.
Looks ok but bezel is restored which is unlike the rest of the watch. It’s a bit like the one I bought in the rough Lume on 12 is also odd maybe it has been relumed, if so why are the hands so rough?
I would think it should have baton hands, but not 100% sure. Also not sure whats up with the 12 marker. If shipping was international, i'd probably give it a nudge.

I think overall it's not a 'bad' looking watch. Case is not over worn, dial is ok except for the lumed 12 (could be fixed at a watchmaker), the hands are later additions, so I'd be happy to have them relumed anyway and keep an eye out for baton hands. It's always scary to bid without seeing inside, but I guess that's the gamble sometimes! Bracelet looks to be of a decent length, and 6 endlinks also don't go cheap. It should be on a 7912? How much does the replacement bezel affect the value? - I have no idea what these go for, or is it a case of you'll probably never find one. Edit: I incorrectly assumed bezel is replacement, awaiting assessment by more experienced members (if possible with current photos)
Coincidence that my example has same “replacement hands” and replacement bezel as OP and sourced from private owner. Mine came with two totally worn out bezels as OP example which has obviously been restored. Are they possibly transitional references or just examples with service parts albeit really worn out hands and bezels?
I thought it had been mentioned before, but I was incorrect. I'll let more experienced members comment on the bezel
Original bezel insert would be Bakelite which very rarely survives in as new condition especially in consideration when compared with rest of watch. See my images of an unrestored example and one restored by Aldo
Also, the 12 lume on dial is not an error at least it I don't think it is an error on the right movement range. This is a rare dial variant that @kox has mentioned in previous posts about in the 165.014.
From the looks of the bidding, It was two dealers in it at the end. I presume they believe the bezel is not redone.
Seems like something straight out of "storage wars" considering it was from a storage unit auction. Got a nice note from the seller: "THANK YOU. I am absolutely grateful for your thoughtfulness. This amount of money never even crossed my mind. I listed this so vaguely on my listing assuming it was "just another watch". I received a crash course in Omega watches in the process. Thank you again and have a great week."
Bezel looks original and very nice condition. It’s very unlikely to have been redone and then listed like this.
