Hi All,

I recently picked up my first Omega. Beautiful 3513.50, stunning.

Well, she had a bit of wear on the AR. I foolishly tried to remove it with cape cod cloths. Left me with an unreadable watch. Completely hazed over….

I tried with some green polishing compound as well and a rotary, no luck.

She isn’t hazy when warm, but after stopping polishing/warmth reduces, just a mess.

Anyway, figure I will just replace the crystal.

Does anyone have the link to a procedure ? Is it a DIYable job?

I go out of town for a trip in 2 weeks, I really wanted to wear this there.

Cheers,

I thought the AR on this model is internal, and I'm not sure how you scratched a sapphire crystal with cape cod cloth.

Anyway, changing the crystal is not a DIY job if you don't have the experience, competence and equipment.

Best get to your Omega dealer or find an Omega authorised watchmaker.

Hmm - doesn’t seem like it is. I don’t think I scratched any crystal. Seems like I just have comprised the AR coating on the top.
