Hi All, There is a Seamaster 300 model 2913-8 up for auction today in Germany. It was originally listed with a laughably low estimate of 40-50 Euros, but now has a starting price of 4000 Euros. I think it looks pretty nice and the bracelet too, what do you all Think? https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/...0022/lot-447ee235-69d2-463b-be20-a88000ce8d3c Best-Don
From the available photos the dial and lume look original and attractive which is a major plus. I don’t know enough about serial number ranges to be sure but seems to be in roughly the right range. Obviously hands have a later re lume job, the crown is wrong as is the bracelet, but these are not major problems, in fact they say to me that it’s not a dealer prepared watch, rather one that’s come in from the wild. I wonder what it will fetch.
have you seen the condition of the rear side (case back)? and the condition of the movement is also not to fall in love Description said that the bezel was damaged and hard to turn... so 11K € without commission is not a bargain at all... a high price for just the dial and lollipop hand - the rest is not interesting....
