Shocking in what way?
I genuinely thought it would be around the £2500 mark..
Don't get me wrong it's a stunning military watch, and I know it's significantly rarer, but it's so many times more expensive than a WWW Omega😕 (like this that sold the other day at Bonhams: https://www.bonhams.com/auction/280...tary-issue-wristwatch-dirty-dozen-circa-1944/)
Time to read more about military Omega's.....
Why Railmaster in relation to military?
That's unnecessarily patronising; in relation to this, I don't have any questions to ask you whatsoever.
I was merely astonished at the estimate of £4-6000 for the 2777-1 SC Rhodesian military watch, that is all! and I think that's fine, and if You don't think that's fine, do not respond to me.
That is merely a matter of opinion on value, it has nothing to do with educating on intended purpose form or functionality.
While @watchyouwant has a valid point, in the spirit of OF camaraderie, here is an answer to your latest question.

Interesting article, I knew a fair amount in terms of the influence and foundations, but thank you; however in terms of my opinion on the 'value' of a Rhodesian 2777-1 SCs, it offers little apart from etymology which I was aware of.
I don't see any valid points that @watchyouwant made; the non-points he ranted, just came like a gardener's dog 😁, as such I reserve my right to still be shocked by the supposed 'value' and the guide price of these things, especially for a watch (albeit a very attractive one) with very limited wearability due to the amount of radium (with circa 1500± year half-life ) that you're exposing yourself to.
