I've been enjoying my new to me 2500 AT for a month now and it's kept great time. It's a 2500C and still has the red dot.

My dad and I got our seamaster pro's back from Al yesterday, so I decided to wear mine for a while.

I put the AT in my padded glasses case and put it in my backpack around 6:10pm and put on the SMP.

10pm I take out the AT and it is RUNNING, but the time says 6:15??

I never SAW the watch stop but that is the only logical explanation. Does this ever happen? I've heard about the 'flaws' of the 2500 but is it normal to stop and then go? or is the issue that the watch stops altogether? The AT has kept great time since the 'incident.' I'm so confused ::screwloose::

Did you fully wind the AT once you got it?

Did you wind the AT before you put it in your back pack? The watch will start up pretty much as soon as you move it enough for the rotor to turn and give some power to the movement.

Honestly no.. I didn't. I have had it off my hand for bed several times for periods of ~8 hours and it handled that, but I wear it basically 24/7. Would not winding it fully maybe cause that? How do I know when it's fully wound? i wind *clockwise,* correct?

Yes, wind it clockwise about 30 revolutions. The second hand might have been ticking when you got it but the caliber still needs to "charged".

Understood. However: maybe I was unclear. The aqua terra has been on my wrist for about a month nonstop. The seamaster is the one I just got.
Don't know if that changes anything but I will charge em' up.

What I told you is redundant in this case because I missed the wearing it for a month part. Sorry.

When was the AT last serviced?

It's very possible that a 2500 stopped all of a sudden. That was one of their downfalls. It's been discussed on every forum I know of.

I thought you were banned from every forum you know of? :D

    Me too, for that matter.

My PO 2500C developed the stopping issue in July, and it would restart with thumping or tapping on the watch. It wouldn't stop while wearing it during the day, only at night while wearing it in my sleep or when leaving it on the winder. Getting it serviced properly fixed the issue.

I'm impressed, disregarding, or (???) the stoppages. (Or bannings for that matter!)
OP. First shot, 12:41. Second shot. 12:43.
That has got to the fastest and best set change that I have seen. Usually takes me around 5 minutes to change from a wrist shot to still image..
Or, is that to illustrate the stoppage?
Regardless. Well done, and good luck with the movement.
    Time will tell.. (pun intended!)..
