Explorer II in the early executions are not GMT. Fixed bezels and 24 hour hand is locked to the 12 hour hand.

Unless I'm massively wrong the 24 is not a GMT on the early ones.

This.

The 1655 has a non-adjustable (so not GMT) 24hr function, via the bright orange hand, which tracks once around the dial following the 24hr markers on the bezel. Designed for cave explorers of course. The original 'Rolex Troglodyte'.

Did you create this? If so, that's some initiative, lol

Not my work - I just have reasonably strong Google-fu 馃槑

My personal favorite, but I am a little biased:馃グ

Tissot still makes these if your preference is for new over vintage.

Cool looking watch. What's the red symbol below Auckland supposed to signify? International Date line?? 馃槙

I'd suggest International Date Line as it runs between those two countries in the Pacific.

Here's my 809 cosmonaute, its a fun watch, but seriously confusing if you just glance down and use the (normal) position of the hands to tell the time. Here's a classic 10 to 2 shot...

Yes, on both the vintage and modern versions, the red symbol indicates the Date Line as shown by the dashed line in the map below:

I have 3 that are GMT and all Seiko
Alas not a gmt. I got that one in black for my GF as she needs to know 24 hour time at a glance. nice piece wears larger and thinner then an SKX due to the lug to lug distance. Works great on her small wrists.

A bit on the smaller side but plenty of character on these Zodiac Aerospace Jet's. I personally really enjoy wearing this piece.

Gruen made an interesting 24hr World Time with a date function. I own one of them in steel.
Let me see if I can find you a picture from google.

Oh dear, a few 24hr watches are up at next months auction in WofK. I like the look of this one but need to check it out.
Anyone here have one of these.

Movement looks like it's in need of a clean. It is a Venus 178. There are 2 versions of this movement, a 12 and 24hr version. Does anyone know how to spot the difference. Maybe @Archer or others might know.....

As a lot of other members here, i literally love the Navitimer Cosmonaute!! The only thing that I don鈥檛 like about the new model is that it is mechanical.

By the way, if I remember correctly, there is a special version of the Chronoswiss TimeWalker that has the 24h dial... fantastic watch!

I also like the Breitling 809 but find the dial a bit busy so have been looking for a Breitling TopTime 810-24 or 824. I think it is a watch with a timeless style. I have not seen a Chronoswiss TimeWalker 24hr so if you have pic please share it.
