Probably because the OP asked about 24 hour watches and GMTs are not purist 24 hour watches.
Correct, I am looking for pure 24hr watch. Some nice examples.......

Some that I have seen......but no date

Apart from the original Glycine Airman and the Gruen WorldTimer I don't recall ever seeing a vintage purist 24 hour watch with a date. You might have to adjust your expectations a little.

Well I'm used to no date vintage watches such as Speedy and connies so it is not a must.

In addition to the Cosmonaut, Breitling also made a 24 hour version of the 765, I think designated the 1765. Very expensive though if you can find one.

Nice watch.....the Cosmonaute looks a very busy dial. Anyone have one, how do you find it.

Sinn made a 24 hour 903 with a date for awhile. They show up on eBay and normally trade low due to demand.

They are not clones they purchased the rights when Breitling closed in 1978. I own a 12 hour with the Speedmaster Pro Lemania movement. If you

OP doesn't mention vintage specifically, so

.
Looking for vintage prefer the look and not so shinny bling.

Now this is what am looking for. This kind of stylish simplicity I only see in vintage watches.......unfortunately they go for ~$100k.
I wonder if there is a modern version?

I know you said you didn't like the Glycine Airman Base 22 but there is some nice vintage Airmen.

The SST "Pumpkin", larger than the Airman 1 at 40mm.

Black dial Airman 1, smaller at 36mm.

White dial Airman Number 1, again 36mm.

They also did a re-issue of the 1953. Larger at 42mm.

Cool website on all things Glycine.......... https://andres55.home.xs4all.nl/frames/airmanindex.htm
According to this website the Glycine Airman went to space in 1965 on the Gemini 5 mission.
Like the look of these versions...........

and the original vintage Airman Special is very nice, really like the fonts used, pity it is only 36mm.

Did you happen to see this one that popped up on watchuseek a few days ago. It might be something that you are interested in.

I have nothing to do with the seller, but just thought of you when I saw it.

Thanks for the heads up @arcadelt. After other discussions on these the size being enormous has put me off. I like to wear my watches as much as possible and being used to speedy and connies the size would put me off.

I have turned my research interests to the Glycine Airman. Some very good sites out there to use as reference.

Thanks again......
