I have been interested in a 2296.80 for some time. This post has confused me, however. If it is a 2296.80 then why does it look so different from what I am used to seeing? http://www.chrono24.com/en/omega/se...ld-titan-41mm-automatic-229680--id4762398.htm I appreciate the expertise I have seen on this site. Any help with this is also appreciated.
Not sure what you think the problem is...looks like a 22968000 to me... As is typical with watches of this era, the red tips on the hands have all faded, but that's easily solved at service. The red bits on the dial have also faded, again common, but more expensive to fix...
Thanks Archer, I understand the fading. I believe it was the way the lugs seemed so much smaller than usual in the initial picture that was throwing me off.
I think the background is causing an optical illusion of sorts - if I compare the lugs in this photo to the photos that Omega has they look essentially the same.
The Three Omigos Archer, This is what I was talking about. It's a screenshot off of Chrono24. This shows why the lugs were throwing me off. I guess it's just the way the photograph was taken that seems to minimize everything beyond the bezel. It doesn't matter now anyway, as the seller won't ship from Germany to the United States. Thanks again for replying.
