Date hand is a replacement. Don’t know that i have seen a minute hand like that. Yes the seller is a nit wit.

Now I’m curious. Could someone share a link so I could know who’s the seller we are talking about?...

As mentioned, the date hand. Inconsistencies of the dial and the moonphase/date wheels.

The minute and hour handset may be original, but they are horribly warped/bent. Maybe from a bad relume attempt. Maybe from before that.

Oh, and also the price.

I took a good look at this one as it would have been a good project needing little and wondered whether the seller had mistakenly added an extra zero ! I contacted seller and he does come across an a bit of a spanner!

IMHO the minute hand is a mess and date hand is wrong. It also looks like minute and hour hands have been re-lumed to match them to dial. The dial is a later sixties edition (ug replacement for older 40s tri compax models). The case also looks like it has been heavily polished, looks far too shiny !

Hallmark on stainless steel?

I think he means the Portuguese tax stamp that you usually see on watches.

Ah yes, I see. Right, that was also on steel. Maybe sold in Brasil? 😀

That was exactly it. Brazil it’s indeed an option though...
