Planet Ocean 2201.50 from 2005 purchased in December last year. Noticed today the whole bezel (guessing terminology) is loose and lifting on one side when moved by hand.

It is under warranty via the seller. Has anyone seen this before? Luckily haven’t been in water wearing it.

It's a bezel.
Some people use their watch dive bezels as fidgets. I've seen the springs completely worn off underneath. Tell them to purchase a fidget and not constantly spin the bezel.

Never seen that before but it should be an easy fix for a competent watchmaker (who will presumably need an Omega parts account).

The good news is that the entire bezel assembly is external to the watch case itself—meaning you don’t need to be worried about that looseness causing any water intrusion to the movement.
