Hello all. I am interested in finding an original dial and possibly hands and crown for my 2179/3 1944 military omega. If anyone has any of these parts or knows where I could find them I would greatly appreciate it!

The hands turn up in eBay every so often. Look for “syringe” style hands. Some are NOS from the 1940’s and still have radium.

I’ve seen the crowns on very rare occasions. The stock on these have pretty much dried up.

Dials are basically made of unobtainium at this point. The lacquer was bad when they were new and they were loaded with radium. You can just imagine how many new ones might be left almost 80 years later. Like zero.

I wish you good luck on your project. It’s going to be very, very difficult.

The number of really nice 2179 dials in watches I have seen in the past 15 years can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

and pricey (most likely)

would be easier to look for a complete and well cared example
