Black dial with a Blue bezel is the worst thing I've ever seen... sorry

Now that the official images are out. I really like it. Not too thick either.

Excited to see where they take the SMP300M. Might get this anyways at some point.

Ah, neat! My understanding is you'll be able to buy them in some OB's tomorrow! IMO, they are all pretty nice looking! Interesting they went with such a plain case back, but I don't hate it. It doesn't really speak to me, but I can definitely see the appeal. I think they did a good job on this one.

If you watch videos of this new Planet Ocean, you can already spot some scratches on the polished links of the bracelet and on the polished part of the clasp... on a demo sample...

Imagine going to the beach wearing this watch...

Looks like a modern interpretation of the original PO.

A more thin case (no display back)

Ditching some retro features but classically good looking with modern materials.

I wonder if the more angular lugs look good in person.

Linking (for posterity) to your pre-release thread that has a good discussion: https://omegaforums.net/threads/rumours-of-a-new-po-due-this-month.186829/

Still think black on black with rubber strap is the best looking.

Those are some sharp edges and angles. Interesting to look at. Bet it would look pretty beat up after a few dives. But you'd be able to track your adventures!

Unfortunately it's not going to kill the pre-owned PO market so that elusive Liquid metallic isn't getting cheaper.

As a Gen3 owner, which is a watch I really love, I've got to admit Omega did a nice job with this update. I really don’t like the polished center links on the bracelet, but they could be easily brushed out. As far as the price, well, everyone’s taking big increases and the sapphire Speedy is now at $9,000, so this is just at parity with that.

Overall I think it looks fresh, crisp, modern, and non-derivative. Being properly sized with current tastes will be a big plus for market acceptance. I also give kudos and respect that Omega took the PO line in a different direction, took a little bit of risk, and established more separation from its predecessors and the SMP line.

Mine says hello -- and to give a point of comparison.....

After getting this on my wrists I have to say I'm impressed. Form factor and size are not an issue at all, it feels like a Seamaster and Ultra Deep had a baby in terms of appearance, love the angles, the rubber strap is super comfortable, and this feels like the true Submariner for Omega.

The black is best. I may get it.

I like it overall. Just wish of course the PCL was brushed but can't have everything. Looks better on the bracelet IMO.
